Description

1973 METZ BATTISTON retro shirt: In Metz, there was never any doubt about the color of the shirts. From the founding of CA Messin in 1919, the tunics chosen were garnet. The only variation will take place between 1934 and 1936, when the club merges with AS Messina, adopting a white and garnet jersey. After the War, the Moselle returned to France and Metz returned to the French D1. However, it was not until 1967 that the club found real stability. The entrepreneur Carlo Molinari then took the presidency and the following year, in 1968-69, Metz disputed the first European Cup in its history. Not necessarily a good memory, since the Messins are roused by Hamburg in the first round of the Cup of Fairs (1-4). We are far from suspecting that, 15 years later, they will spank Barça at Camp Nou on the same score…

METZ 1973 BATTISTON 100% cotton retro jersey, made in England.
