Description

BRAZIL 1970 retro goalkeeper shirt: In 1965, Felix, goalkeeper who plays in Portuguesa, is called up for the Brazilian team for the first time, to be a substitute doorman. Because the incumbent is the great Gilmar, in office since 1953. So, Felix takes his pain patiently. He knows his time will come. But when Gilmar announced his international retirement in 1969, the coach, João Saldanha, did not include him in his preselection for the World 70. The story could have ended there. But in March 1970, Saldanha was fired and Zagallo took the reins of the Seleçao. And the latter reminds Felix, even inducting him into the post of holder! The press criticized him, not judging him “not up to the rest of the team”, but Felix responded on the ground. During the success against England (1-0), he made many decisive parades. And on June 21, at 33, he was crowned world champion. Thank you Zagallo.
